Food safety is a fundamental public health concern. The Food Safety and Quality has
become an area of priority and necessity for consumers, retailers, manufacturers and
regulators. Food safety is a scientific discipline describing handling, preparation, and storage
of food in ways that prevent foodborne illness. This includes a number of routines that
should be followed to avoid potentially severe health hazards. In this way Food Safety often
overlaps with Food defense to prevent harm to consumers.

Objective

Diploma in Food Safety Management, the complete comprehensive Safety Management
Program related to Safety in Food Stuff production, and servicing Industries prone to toxic/
hazardous Exposure i.e., dealt with food safety. This fast-track course is designed for
anyone who aspire a profession in the field of Safety Management (especially in chemical
safety) with a specific knowledge of managing situations in proper edible stuff handling,
which are hazardous to health and life. This short-term program covers all the
responsibilities of a safety officer in a food processing, inspecting, and servicing industry
also deals with safety and proper material handling and industrial hygiene pertaining to the
international standards. The trainings and illustration will be delivered through direct trainings
in a crash mode, focusing flexible education for professionals.

The Program of Study Duration
The duration of the program of study is one year.

Medium of Instruction
English will be the medium of instruction for the program.

Eligibility for Admission

  1. 10+2 passed or,
  2. Applicants who have qualified themselves I.T.I (2 years) or Equivalent of any University /
    or a recognized institute.

Diploma in Food Safety Management covers the core competence topics in the field of
Health Safety and Environment Management Systems especially in food safety and
industrial hygiene. All successful candidates will be well aware about the general safety
principles and standard Safe operating Procedure that should be followed in any Industry.

discussions for an advanced practical delivery of these topics to our students.
